Tropical Fusion Blog Hop

Welcome to our KathKath Studios Blog! We are very excited to be part of the Tropical Fusion Blog Hop 2014, and if your hopping this weekend then you would have arrived here from the colourful work of  Joni Barriere of LuLu Designs

KathKath Blog Hop

KathKath Studio is the collaboration between textile designer Kathy Schicker and graphic designer Kathryn Pledger.

We design and produce unusual and trendsetting designs for fashion, interiors and lifestyle products. Our main area of expertise is surface pattern design for digitally printed products. We design for industry and produce short product runs for bespoke projects and exhibitions.

From experience, we know these Blog Hops are truly inspirational projects. The 2013 Lets Fly Blog Hop was one of the driving forces behind the creation of KathKath Studio and we encourage you to absorb the whole weekend of beautiful patterns and incredible designers!

Our take on the Tropical Fusion Theme is focused around Orchids and pink colourways, which is a lovely way to warm up any winter’s day.

The designs are inspired by our photographs of Orchids and hand painted mark making. We manipulated the designs using Photoshop to create 2 main designs with 2 coordinates each. This style of working links to our current ESCAPE scarf and accessories collection.

This project is live until Tuesday 21st January and links the work of over 50 designers from all over the globe through their blog posts.
