Project-based courses to develop a portfolio of textile designs using Photoshop. Students enrolling on to terms two and three are
expected to have some knowledge of Photoshop.

Term 1 introduces students to Photoshop and covers themes such as floral, geometric and conversational designs using drawing, printing and
collage on screen.

Designing Textiles using Photoshop Stage 1

City Lit
Create patterns and designs for printed textiles which may then be printed on cloth. This course is ideal for beginners in Photoshop who are textile artists or designers, or for anyone interested in exploring pattern, colour and texture.

Designing Textiles using Photoshop Stage 2

Learn intermediate Photoshop and design techniques in order to develop your textile design skills, gain clearer creative direction and expand your portfolio. This intensive textile design course is an ideal progression for those who have completed ‘ Designing textiles using Photoshop: stage 1′.

Textiles and surface pattern: understanding repeats

City Lit

Discover the basics skills of repeat patterns including straight repeats, drop repeats and complex repeats in this fun and hands on course. Build repeats using drawing and printing, then move onto creating hand printed textile samples. Suitable for all levels.
