Project-based courses to develop a portfolio of textile designs using Photoshop. Students enrolling on to terms two and three are
expected to have some knowledge of Photoshop.
Term 1 introduces students to Photoshop and covers themes such as floral, geometric and conversational designs using drawing, printing and
collage on screen.

Term 2 focuses on developing design collections and professional print techniques for textiles.
16 Jan 2019 – 3 Apr 2019
Term 3 covers homeware designs for mugs, placemats, coasters and fashion samples.

Designing Textiles using Photoshop Stage 2
Learn intermediate Photoshop and design techniques in order to develop your textile design skills, gain clearer creative direction and expand your portfolio. This intensive textile design course is an ideal progression for those who have completed ‘ Designing textiles using Photoshop: stage 1′.

Textiles and surface pattern: understanding repeats
Discover the basics skills of repeat patterns including straight repeats, drop repeats and complex repeats in this fun and hands on course. Build repeats using drawing and printing, then move onto creating hand printed textile samples. Suitable for all levels.

Textile and surface pattern: from drawing to digital print
Explore drawing and printing in the studio, before digitising and manipulating your designs using Photoshop. Suitable for students with a creative background. Photoshop experience preferred but not essential.
